The West Point Ministers' Association has a number of events as we move into September. Please note the following:

1. Our fall kickoff dinner meeting will be held at the Van den Boogaard Center on Tuesday, Sept. 3, at 6:30 p.m. Your spouse or significant other is welcome to attend with you! Please let Father Ed Moran know (immediately if not sooner :-)) that you plan to attend. I have eight confirmations and two maybes so far. Ed is buying food for 16, so we've got room for you!

2. Choir rehearsals for the Sept. 11 Ecumenical Service of Prayer, Reflection, and Remembrance (7:30 p.m. at WP Christian Church) will be held Sept. 4 and Sept 11 at the Christian Church, 6:30 p.m. We still need to enlist a few more singers! Contact our organist, Jacob Gordon, for more information.

3. Councilman Olen Sikes is preparing another information meeting for churches that would like to have a presence on the West Point Web Portal. One of our teenagers, Kyle Bohannon, has done a great job of putting up and maintaining a web site for WP Christian Church (take a look!). If you'd like to see your congregation and its ministry showcased in this way, bring one or more of your (technically superior!) teenagers and attend the meeting, which will be held at the WP Public Library this Thursday at 1:30 p.m. Contact Olen for more info.

4. Mayor Andy Conklin is looking for clergy to open each meeting of the WP Town Council with an invocation. The Council meets on the last Monday of each month at 7:30 p.m. Please let me know if you can help, and I'll put you on the schedule.
