I graduated from West Point High School in the 1977. After spending 26 years in the Marine Corps I travel thru West Point often. I have a lot of good memories of some good times in the streets of West Point, and memories of a lot of good friends. It was a great place to grow up..

What a wonderful site. I see many names here that bring back fond memories. And to your guest Tony, dad and I ate a many crabcake from your dads busness, and as a matter of fact, your mom (Dede) and my mom (Delight) became the best of friends.

Hello West Point
I would like to make a comment about the front page article On March 10, 2010 on MacTavish Graham. This article is bogus. There are alot of facts missing. He did not commit this crime. Why wasnt the alleged victim's identity put in this article? Why didnt this article explain that there were more than 2 people involved? The real story will come to the light. Hopefully this case will be carefully investigated. It is not fair to print articles that are misleading, because it

I too grew up in West Point, and my Aunt Ruby Johnson and my mother Mildred Custalow was providing some of those wonderful crabs we all loved. I remember Toni's family as well (hello to you). Look forward to checking in on the site in the future!

Cool website, I've only been gone for about 2 and a half years but I'm ready to get back to town. My buds think I'm crazy to want to come back, but you don't what you've got 'till it's gone. Great town to grow up in and I'm looking forward to raising a family there soon.

How cool! I decided to see if West Point had a newspaper yet and was surprised to find a web site.
I have wonderful summer memories of West Point. I used to come stay with my cousin Betty Gay and I loved the town. Her husband Bill had Gay's Jewerly Store in one end of the Western Auto. I had a mad crush on Mike Hayes who went to VPI and then we lost contact after his mother died.
I make it home from time to time and I love the changes. They aren't taking away from the charm of the town.

I am not from West Point but have visited a few times. I am a decendant of John West. I really do like the area and would like to return for more visits. I just wish there was more documented history from the time John West was there.
