I grew up in West Point (just outside) and left there in '87. It is SO NICE to see this website and be able to look back at "home". Thank you to all who have contributed and please keep up the good work. I can't say how much I miss home and what a wonderful, peaceful, tranquil town it was and still is. Smell...well, that's its trademark and you just get used to it. Its a beautiful town and I hope it always remains that way. If you haven't been there, GO. If you have, I'm sure you mis

We are a military family relocating to Williamsburg and we are defineately considering moving to West Point. This sight makes our decision that much easier.

I started visiting my family (Cornelius Vaughan, Lula Vaughan, Fortune & Howard (Pete) Hall, Olivia (Bootsie) and Iris Hall, Della & Leander Banks, Henry Walker, Aunt Marion, Aunt Pauline, etc.) when I was an infant and enjoyed spending time in West Point and Plum Point. I now work for one of the companies (Wilbur Smith Associates) working on the new bridges. I saw the message from Wanda Jordan and am wondering if it's the same Wanda from Plum Point. If so, I am Debbie, who used to stay with

I am so pleased to see how west Point is growing. I grew up as a child here in the 50's and i come home often. It will be odd to not see my uncle business of over 50 years in business. Jordan's Cleaners. I remember the old gas station on the main street and how I agin miss seeing another uncle who owned the station and folk would come by just to conversate and not always to get gas. What great memories to have from my childhood. It is always fun to come home and see friends and relativ

I grew up in King William (Aylett) and, I'll tell ya, I dont miss the smell. The paper mill was at least 20 miles away, but I could still smell it almost everyday. Are the Cavaliers still kicking the Pointers butts in football?

I have been in New York for almost 10 years now. It is nice to be able to get a piece of West Point information once in a while. This is great! GO POINTERS!!!!

I enjoyed visiting my home town web page. I still have the majority of my family living in town, Edwards, Jordans, Billups, Jones, Johnsons, and of course Jacksons. I have been away over 40 years, and long to return to the easy going pace of West Point. Keep the site filled with information for those of us that knew WP back in the days when we had the Liquor Pond for base ball, the old Ball Park in Port Richmond, the old fishing piers on the river, fishing for stiff back perch, crocker and rock
